In this project, as a product designer, I collaborated with the product manager and the development team to improve the search result page and the search functionality.
Problem
The SaaS platform had a complicated way to search hotels and display the results, making it time-consuming for the agents and the business travellers when they need a quick solution on the move.
Most of the time for the weather condition, cancelled flights or other issues, a traveller must find the best hotel solution within the company policy quickly. Unfortunately, the current experience and interface were not helping the agents.
Solution
The first step I took was interviewing some of the users and understanding their pain points while they search a hotel daily for the clients. I analysed the experience and feedback from the users, and mock-up a simple solution that helped the users to scan the hotel list and easily refine the search result.
I tested the final design solution with the users, and I followed the development till the release of the improved version.
